Plus it was game 6 and an elimination game for Buffalo which ramps up the intensity.That's a great question. I feel like the degree of difficulty has to have been higher facing ~20 shots a period than ~10, but the mental and physical stamina needed to maintain a shutout for 6+ periods really can't be overlooked.

I think Hasek was the reason for the drop in goals scored!! LOLthen again 1994 was the start of the dead puck era and there was a dropoff in goalscoring that year.
