Watching the Canucks game and just heard this:

"In his 98th career game, Bobrovsky won't be getting his first career shutout."

Henrik Sedin just ruined what could have been Sergei Bobrovsky's special night. It got me to thinking, is there a goalie with more career games but no shutouts?

edit:

Decided to not be lazy and do the research myself.

Top 5:

Pokey Reddick - 132 GP
Sergei Bobrovsky - 98 GP
Jim Hrivnak - 85 GP
Hardy Astrom - 83 GP
Darren Pang - 81 GP

Another record that could be broken within a season!

As far as goalies who started their careers with a long "shutoutless" streak before eventually getting some, Jeff Hackett didn't get one until his 164th regular season appearance.

That may or may not be the longest stretch from the start of a career. Ed Staniowski's first shutout was somewhere in the 138-182 game range. John Garrett's was in the 152-168 range. So they may have Hackett beat depending on when they got their shutouts.
