I agree. we missed out on BT and so many others
but as fans we need to move on, is all I say.
I always think it's good discussion to see where we went right or wrong. In this case we know we missed out on a great player. But we only have half the equation. So, let's conclude it was a mistake from what we already know... how big a mistake was it? We really have to wait and see. But for the sake of argument, let's say RB never plays a game and this was an awful mistake.
How do you mitigate it? Can we still win based on what we've done going forward? I'd say we're still in good shape even without Reinbacher and Michkov. You can acknowledge the loss of a great offensive player and still look at things going forward. We may have cost ourselves time and lost an opportunity by not taking him. But are we still headed in the right direction? That's the real question. I'd say the answer to that question is still an unequivocal 'yes'. Based on where we are going I still like what we've done a lot. Crushed the draft in 22. We have to see on 23 - but we got Fowler as well as RD. Next year we'll get an idea of how good Demidov is. Plus the Laine signing seems to have been way better than I expected.
I'd say regardless of how that Michkov thing works out, we're still in very good shape.
