I wouldn't pay anymore for frost then what the sharks paid for Liljegren. He just isn't worth any more then that and Robertson is worth even less right now.

Frost has been healthy scratched the last 3 games, and there appeared to be issues with Torts last season too it seems to be only a matter of time before something happens between Frost and Philadelphia.

The Leafs need a center.

There would appear to be a fit.

What's the cost
Frost also only has 1 goal this season. Robertson likely has the higher upside right now
There's not many players in the league that have more upside than frost, Robertson definitely isn't one of them. Frost is the most talented Flyer outside of Michkov, he's just not putting it all together. His value is low right now but he's clearly Flyers best center sadly, he should be considered not movable at this point for philly based on his potential, position and current value. It would take better than a late 1st for me to move him, and I don't see teams doing that right now

I feel like if the team viewed him the same as Philly fans seem too he probably wouldn't be a healthy scratch. Seems like there is a disconnect between the fans opinion and the teams opinion of the player. Interesting to see from the outside.

Well they made Couturier a scratch after making him captain, scratched Michov.
That’s just Torts being Torts.

Torts is a psychopath, all he does is scratch people who don’t fall in line with his dinosaur thinking.

Hes the problem here. Not Frost.

Remember when the Flyers waived Ghost, convinced the rest of the league he couldn't play, and then traded a 2nd+ just to get rid of him so that they could trade a 1st+ for Ristolainen? Take Flyers' player evaluations with massive f***ing grain of salt.

Scott Laughton is the type of center they need to be acquiring.

Leafs are in win now mode and have two offensive centers who take all the offensive opportunities in Matthews and Tavares.

Laughton could anchor a 3rd line and chew up a lot of the defensive and matchup minutes while still generating some 5 on 5 offence while also adding to the PK.

Frost is an offensive C who would be stuck behind two better offensive centers.

I'd be open to that too, my thought is Tavares is 34, sooner or later they are going to need a new #2 center

lol hell no. It would have to be a large + on senators side. Norris has same value as Frost in my eyes mainly due to the contract

Look I like Frost I'd like to add him to the Leafs.

That being said Norris is a much, MUCH better player then Morgan Frost

Norris has a risky contract, but he's the best player in the deal by a decent margin.

The + would also be something like a 2nd and a prospect (or something equivalent but idk what the Flyers want), and not some crap like a 7th.

Frost being benched, and Farabee not doing well is a buy-low situation for everyone involved (including Norris).

Idk - I really don't think it's that bad when all is considered. But to each their own.

Frost and Farabee
for
Josh Norris +

I think that’s pretty putrid. I don’t want to take the risk in trading for Norris even if he is a good player.

I also think it’s moronic to trade Frost. Guy just needs to be let to play like he knows how and not tried to transform into a dinosaur.

I wouldn’t touch this with a 10 foot pole.

Factor in the contract and our other top 6 center option is one hit away or one wrong move away from being a career LTIRer. Wouldn’t make any sense to have two injury prone top 6 C’s.
Wouldn’t make sense because then Scott Laughton and Noah Cates are the top 2 C’s.

Frost is bench warming. Liking him has nothing to do with his value. Like it or not, the org (or at least the coach) doesn't like him. That usually leads to a sell-low return. This 'offer' is based on that.

If he wasn't in the doghouse, his name never would have been mentioned. Unfortunately he is.

Frost has been stapled to MM the last two games - where he should be.

He has seemingly done things that Torts wants him to do.

Selling low with him is a horrible use of assets. It makes less than 0 sense to trade him.
