Just thinking out loud here but the Moose have started horribly the last two years and they’re just getting dummied.
There has been such a consistent approach with the Moose with Zinger and now Morrison… when do they look at a change? Not a lot of good down there.
I think the change starts next year by adding more talent. Especially if they being Freij over to play with Salomonsson. Yager, Barlow, Julien add more talent. A healthy Lucius and Zhilkin can contribute more you would hope.
For me it starts on defense. I don't see a lot of value from players like Bauer or Sauntner on defense. Zinger finds the odd college player looking for an opportunity, but the defense is suffering from lack of quality picks to work with and that's Chevy's job. So far he also wants to keep waiver eligible d-men off the wire, and that's a decision that makes sense organizationally.
Systems wise Chibrikov and Lambert seemed to be prepared for the jump so that's one part coaching, and probably the most important measure of success for a farm team, regardless of the results.
Milic is a big reason for some of those Ls, and maybe he's not the starter next season, with a better team in front of the goalie
I wonder how long the Moose stick with Eric Dubois.
