To Montreal: 4th round pick and Sergey Kalinin

vs

To New Jersey: Brian Flynn and Mike Condon

MTL POV: Kalinin could be a nice piece for the 13th spot.. or AHL spot.. and Timmins like late pick.

NJ POV: NJ got a good backup in Condon and a good pker 3rd line guy in Flynn

-------

To Montreal: Dwight King and 6th round pick 2017

vs

To Los Angeles: Alexei Emelin@20%, Stefan Matteau and 4th round pick 2018

MTL POV: King is a perfect fit on the 3rd or 2nd line for the Habs.. can score, fight and hit.

LAK POV: I'm not sure Forbot or Gravel can take a spot right now so Emelin would be a good choice and he fits in LAK system. Matteau could turn into a solid 4th liner with the Kings.. maybe more.. they have a real leader in Kopitar and hard worker in Dustin Brown.

----

To Montreal: Valentin Zykov

vs

To Carolina: David Desharnais and Sven Andrighetto

MTL POV: Zykov is an enigmatic prospect like the other Russian guy.. I think he have all the tool for the Habs but not seems ready now.

CAR POV: DD is a cheap 2nd/3rd line center who can give you 50-55 pts a year and UFA at the end of the season.. he would probably take a discount .. Andrighetto is an NHL ready prospect.. put him with a guy like Skinner.. and he will produce.. so a cheap young RW

Condon isn't a good backup.

LA doesn't make that deal.

Zykov? We ain't touching that.

Remember the good times last season when the most trigger happy Montreal fans were eager to ship out Price due to Condon's first games in the league? It was said that "now when we have two #1s, we can easily ship out Price".

That really turned out to be true.

As for the deals, LA doesn't touch their one, neither does NJ. Carolina... IDK. Kind of meh for both.

No way we trade King. We are short on good left wingers, and King is versatile--he can effectively play in the top and bottom 6--and has a great cap hit for what he brings. Also, we already have a number of options for the bottom defensive pairing.

As stated in the last King proposal you made Gaborik's injury leaves the kings one lw short for the next 8 weeks at least then there's getting him into game shape Check back around christmas with any dwight king proposals Oh also no need for Alexei Emelin@20%, we already have gravel gilbert greene tortman forbort scuderi and paul LaDue going for the bottom 3 spots no need to add to it especially at the expense of 1.33 million Kings need to save money for pearson and toffolis extensions
As for Stefan Matteau we have just as good if not better choices in dowd shore kempe lewis andreoff and Latta for our bottom centers

1. I don't see the point, so no. Kalinin isn't really an upgrade on Flynn. NJ also does not need a backup goalie.

2. No thanks, I prefer Carr/Shaw/Ghetto in that spot than getting stuck with Barberio as a full-time D.

3. Zykov is making his best Avtsin impression in the AHL. I would be mad if Ghetto got a prospect that dreams to be as good as him, even to get rid of DD. To add to that, our center depth would suck. As much as we all hate DD, he can play on the top 2 lines in case of injuries to AG or Plek better than Mitchell, Danault or Flynn.
