Habs can't afford to trade two NHL centers for a prospect who they hope can play center in the NHL .

McBain and Rask would roughly even out to be neutral value, so that extra + better be significant.

Rask doesn't have negative value to the Wild, he is an expiring UFA and the Wild have loads of cap room this year, they would not be paying anything to get rid of him. Not to say that he has value to MTL, but the Wild would just exclude him from any deal than treat him as a negative asset is the point.
