Why would LA do it ? Quality for Quantity + we're giving them a cap dump.

Muzzin >> Beaulieu
Desharnais has negative value
Fucale is doing bad in the ECHL
The pick should be around the 20th mark
& a 3rd.

Give some value, they would ask for one of our established top 6, probably Gallagher.

If it's not a trade for either Galchenyuk or Gallagher. The Kings are gonna pass.

The Kings need someone on the wing that can put the puck in the net from the top 6. In the form of cheap youth skill.

No point for Montreal to do anything with Fucale

He has absolutely NO value at all, might as well wait it out and see if he can become even a decent call up option at some point in his life

As i stated in the other thread it starts with a first and Mikhail Sergachev to start this then start adding and no we don't want any player under 6 foot so dd will stay a canadian The kings have better defenseman then Beaulieu coming so no need.

To Montreal: Jake Muzzin

vs

To Los Angeles: Nathan Beaulieu, David Desharnais@20% retained, Zack Fucale, 1rst pick 2018 and 3rd pick 2019

This is beyond bad for LA. Nothing in that package even make me think about moving Muzzin. He will be going nowhere but if he ever did it would not be for crap like this offer.

we have drew and martinez gravel mcNabb and forbert. I would rather give a shot to paul ladue or Kale Clague then him. hell Erik Cernak Alex Lintuniemi and Kurtis MacDermid all show me more promise than Beaulieu Lets not forget be adding Mikhail Sergachev as well to the group. Kings have no use for Beaulieu

i'd keep McNabb, Forbort, and Gravel over Beaulieu

Beaulieu fails in top 2 situations over an 82 game schedule

McNabb managed to prosper and stay there

Forbort is a great find too, i think we're starting to become very content with our D

we'll pass and take that ''risk'' of regretting not having the fantastic and over hyped Beaulieu that keeps popping in 80% of habs proposals

MTL probably gives up too much, yet LA doesn't get any needs filled. Bad news giving up one of the best #2s in the league, especially one on a sweetheart deal like Muzzin--4 million a year is a bargain for what he brings and on a veteran-laden team we need the money savings anywhere we can get it. Whether it's fair or not, it will take a LOT to pry Muzzin out of LA, because the cost of replacing him--both minutes and salary--is almost unattainable.

I understand that muzzin value is high but if kings don't make the playoffs ? Wouldn't his value be more affordable?

No not at all. Why would not making the playoffs make a young #2 with a great contract have less value, that make no sense at all and his value will remain very high.

Only way kings interested in trading muzzin is a overpayment and rightfully so He's one of the best number 2 in the nhl. Larsson got Hall from Edmonton. Muzzin is way better then Larsson so what that worth people

Can't see why LA gets rid of an established defenseman, they need more, not less.
