Price is only a member of this team right now because of his past performances and stats, any other goalie with his numbers this season would be sent down to the minors by now,

This isn't true at all. Plenty of starting goalies are struggling this season. None of them have been sent down.
If Price was a 20 year old rookie who didn't have to pass through waivers and he had these numbers? Yeah, sure...

Gallagher should be playing with Danault and Pacioretty and Shawful dropped down to the third and why exactly is Hudon on the 4th line? The Jets are big and have skill, this could get real ugly but in any case it will be a win either way.

No way he became the worst goalie in the league overnight.
His balance is way off.
Jets have five forwards that are better than any one forward the Canadiens have had in years.

But I do not believe he is injured.
There are 40 goalies with better numbers than Price. He is being pulled to take a break. Get
his head together......... and not get blown out by a red hot, stacked, Jets team on Saturday night.

this is a mercy thing, they are not starting price tonight because they fear he will get smoked again, thats all there is to it,
the team has no explanation as to why price is playing horrible.....so the easiest excuse is to blame it on an injury.....a cowards way out, for a coward of a GM
the truth will be obvious and exposed if price is on the bench as a backup.....if he is injured to the point where he is unable to start, why would he be healthy enough to backup??

New contract sets him for life, turned 30 this summer, new dmen and new coach equals new system, thus no continuity, new equipment, non Olympic year means he took an extended break this summer after rehabbing like a madman the previous summer for the World Cup, he came to camp out of shape, unprepared and unmotivated. He gets a mulligan until December 1st to lose his beer gut and rekindle the flame. If still struggling after that, than, the shite will hit the fan big time...
