Budaj could not have been any farther back in his net without actually being in the net. Not that it matters since it was a weak five hole goal, but still should have been at the top of the crease anticipating the quick shot along the ice.

Weak defensive coverage created that whole situation however.

It was cause of Emelin's bad read. He went to pinch to keep the puck in, realized he wasn't going to make it, but couldn't catch his guy.

Team never had a chance to set-up after that.

Emelin has been playing fairly well, so no complaints, but that was a horrible decision so late in the game.

I'm surprised it hasn't been happening more often. Emelin is a stud but missing time like that is a killer for players usually.
