Stu Cowen said in the sick podcast couple weeks ago that Trevor Letowski have a young family and he could look to comeback closer to home.

Again, my point doesn't change.

We don’t need more bottom 6 players, we need upgrades on what we currently have.

Therefore, if you're trading Harris for a bottom 6 guy, he needs to be a clear upgrade on what we already have.
We could look for guys who will be here long term. Gally, Anderson, Armia, Dvo, won't be here when we're ready to contend.

The future core depth chart is something like:

Caufield Suzuki Slaf
------- Dach ------
Newhook Kapanen/Beck Roy
Xhekaj kapanen/Beck Evans/Heineman/Tuch/RHP/Ylonen/Farrell/Mesar/Davidson

That doesn't matter in trades involving waiver eligible players as the limiting factor is current roster space, not imaginary roster make up years from now.

Trying to find a coaching job in Ontario probably. Maybe even ass. coach with the Leafs since they have an opening.

That would cause some drama if it happened.

Please go be with your family, force management to make a coaching change cause they seem incapable of doing it themselves. Continuity is fine but there's a lot of improvement needed on the bench in Montreal and at head coach in the AHL, they've opted to do neither so far.

MSL is still in charge, no worries there ;) Boucher can handle the PP and set plays, Robidas keeps defense and the PK, Burrows can go get coffee for the boys. Easy peasy.

No thanks - Boucher did a terrible job with the Leafs powerplay, and has generally not been good in any capacity since his initial introduction to the NHL.

I mean he did it twice so it's a little harsh to compare him to Ducharme who pulled a Dan Bylsma.

Over a decade ago, he's not a name we want to bring in.. we need to do better than the guy who couldn't get the Leafs powerplay to do anything against the Bruins with way more talent than we will ever have at our disposal.

I don't see Boucher being a good fit because he's always been a guy who wants to do things his way, it doesn't seem likely that he will truly buy into MSL's concepts system. And even if special teams might be the primary responsibility of a given assistant coach, it's never limited to just that.

Not sure MSL would take Boucher anyway. I remember Boucher saying bad things about MSL "no-system" concepts before he was hired by the Leafs.
