The Columbus Blue Jackets are on the clock...

Third pick in a row for Perrault. Amirov was close, but think that Columbus will look for a higher end scorer of forwards.

is Ridly Grieg falling because of his size? I mean, that's not too surprising.

He's probably more of a riser by most standards.

I think he could potentially be in play in the late teens, but most likely you're looking at low 20s being the start of his range.

To me Greig fits the profile of a Blue Jacket. That said I think Columbus goes for what they think is a more sure thing and that's Amirov. If the Blue Jackets did take Greig I would be more than happy to take Amirov.

With that I can say that my pick for #22 will be Ridly Greig.

Feels like Grieg is their kind of player. But they do need more high-end offense. So maybe Amirov or Bourque or something? This is a tough one actually.

Amirov fits in with Torts hockey as much as Greig does, albeit in a different way.

Possession driving defensively conscious forwards are just as important to the way the Jackets have success as the heavy bodies along the walls.

If they want to allow him to fall to us at 22 I'd be okay with that too.

so the Devils end up taking 3 wingers in the 1st? (x) doubt

If this is how things were to play out I would guess the Devils would be looking hard at trading down with their 3rd pick and picking D wherever they pick next. If they do pick now they would be really going off the board if they were going to force not taking a 3rd winger.

Defense is their biggest weakness

It ain't great but they do have guys coming along. They need wingers for Hughes and Hischier. Palmieri's their only really legit top 6 wing. Gusev is their next best thing but he's also kind of an adventure and he's a playmaker which makes him pretty useless at least for Hughes.

Anyway you voted for Amirov too. Why not Wallinder?
