MPAC guys are completely ridiculous .. MLSE does not OWN or RENT BMO field .. they paid a fee for years to a 3rd party city owned management company and that management company paid the property tax to da city with NO issues .. MLSE did a major facility upgrade mid 2010's and MPAC decided it to re-evaluate da property to INCREASE its VALUE for purposes of additional taxation .. so city increased its property taxes and 3rd party owned management company negotiating a bigger annual FEE from MLSE which it does not agree with .. i did a washroom and lighting renovation upgrade on one of my industrial buildings and MPAC did same to me .. da increase in property value was nominal but they claimed a huge value increase which by default increased my Mississauga taxes when multiplied by da mill rate .. it took many years in court before a settlement on value was agreed

OMG, now the cap won’t go up bc MLSE owe taxes. Take that AM and Willie for thinking the cap will increase.

Sounds like a valuation dispute.

It’s not .. MLSE leases a few properties on the Ex grounds (like Ricoh Coliseum), which is City owned .. while portions of the ground are exempt because of that, MLSE would have some type of portion in their lease agreement that they would pay their portion of property taxes on what they lease.

They could have bought the Ottawa Senators with their tax bill… and keep the change ya filthy animals!

Either they were waiting for someone to call them before paying or its an accounting error. That amount of money is nothing to them.
