Not to sound like a bitter Swiss person (I think they played great), but England just keep on making it to the next round(s) even if they don't deserve it.
True. They just haven't clicked all tournament, but they seem to do just enough to advance. I think that all comes to an end in the semi-final. They've been living a charmed life, thus far.

Cool video of Sid walking into the Canada room, congratulating them, and making a quick speech. Also, some of the Dallas team members were there, including Benn and Seguin.

I thought Jeff Bezos or some other mogul was supposed to the buy the Celtics and plunk them right there, or at least that's what the 98.5 flaks are dreaming of. You can't get to Everett. It would be like going to a Millwall match, sort of.
There is a ton of land around Lower Broadway that is either for sale, or will be for sale soon. And the casino already owns quite a bit. More than enough room for both a soccer stadium and a new Celtics arena, if that's the direction they want to go in.

ZERO community input. ZERO hearings. ZERO consideration for the people of Everett or the surrounding communities.

A totally corrupt city being overrun by greedy monsters. Sal DiDomenico included.
This is like the 2nd or 3rd of a dozen hurdles that need to be cleared before shovels hit the dirt.

I wouldn't be worried. I'm convinced that the Krafts picked the worst possible spot to build a stadium so he can fail and keep charging himself rent to use Gillette and post a loss with the Revs.

I believe this is a CERCLA site so the environmental lobby will be involved, and the costs to address that will be astronomical. That's before getting to traffic and parking issues.

If this goes through, on the day the stadium opens I'll strip, paint myself up as a donkey, and crawl on my hands and knees through the center of town with @EverettMike on my back.

100%. I am disgusted by it all.

I have my thoughts about Sal but I'll keep that private until one day we actually meet. But I feel the same way you do. These greedy bastards don't care about these surrounding communities who are going to suffer. The traffic and congestion is already horrific. More "luxury" apartments just shoved into places. We have no room. Not having any input is wild to me.

But unfortunately, it doesn't surprise me :(

Its been three days and I still am wondering why Portugal took out Bruno Fernandes

Santos was a pretty bad manager in a lot of ways but at least he had the balls to bench Ronaldo. Total cancer who made everything run through him when he realistically should have been a sub that came in to play the last 20 minutes every game. After watching Martinez fail repeatedly with Belgium it was a crazy hire.

Agreed. Their offense was pretty terrible through the tournament.

Is it Jose Mourinho time? He said he would do it when he is old.

Come into 2026 with no Rondaldo and Jose as the star of the show?

I love watching the Dutch play. They're playing the ball on the ground through short passes even in their defensive end and looking for running through balls to break the other team's defense. England and basically most of the teams I've seen in Euro and Copa are just launching long balls and contested headers, it's ugly football.

Not sure if this would be considered Tiki-Taka (which is a derivative of Cruyff's tactics anyway), but it's a lot more aesthetically pleasing than most of their competition.

England steals another on a 90th minute goal by Watkins. Great strike.

The Dutch are furious with the ref - rightfully so, there were some highly questionable decisions in the second half.

England vs. Spain on Sunday in the final - you have to like the Spanish there
