Blevins hit the nail on the head. MLB and the pitchers are both culpable. The balls are inconsistent and too slippery. And the pitchers don't want to dial back velocity for command.

Sidebar: This is not the first time Blevins has spoken thoughtfully on baseball. Would love to see him added to the SNY broadcast a la Valiquette.

deGrom has had 3 or 4 discrete upper body injuries now so far this season. Keith was positing during the broadcast that it could be a product of deGrom overthrowing.
