If Mariners are adding 60m, it is decent for the Mets provided they sign good reinforcements (they very rarely do that, but that's another story).

Still, I would feel quite uneasy of a deal headlining 2 of their top 3 prospects for a 36 yr old 2B and a reliever with 1 very elite season. Mariners are doing well selling high on Diaz. This seems like a move the Yankees would've made 10 yrs ago.

I felt they were better off going after Realmuto than a reliever and an old 2B.

We did not tender Wilmer Flores.

I'll always love him. He could be super underwhelming and was physically built like a giraffe on ice skates, but I'll still love him.

Down with Carlos Gomez.

I saw a rumor of a deal involving Carlos Santana and Ellsbury + Kahnle. Santana is definitely a type of hitter the team could use.

Mets selling prospects for a 36 year old Cano and a closer makes sense if they're going for it. Hopefully they go for it.

Cubs cancelled The ToeNight Show. You know what to do Cashman. Everyone always enjoys a good revival.
He likely stays with the Cubs.

They avoided tendering him so they can attempt to re-sign him. His tender would have been almost double what he made last year.

Well that's what everyone keeps saying, the Mets are going to do a lot more this winter. We'll see.

So Hamilton as a fast defensive CF w the Mets?
I would like him if they moved Lagares. Otherwise, you've got basically two defensive specialists (although Lagares' bat has been decent before) that would be making a decent chunk of change between them.

I can see the Yankees taking a run at Schoop. Move Torres to SS. Inflield of Voit at 1B, Schoop 2B, Torres SS and Andujar 3B.

Then if the rumors are true that the Yankees are still after Happ even if they sign Corbin the rotation would look like Severino, Paxton, Corbin, Tanaka and Happ with Sabathia as depth if someone goes down.
