they wont sign and bring up ho sang this year at all i dont think, since they wont be able to send him down once called up. one NHL team will be sure to claim him if they try and send him down imo.

If there were an organization that interested in Ho Sang, he would have signed an NHL contract with that organization.

Does Marner’s 4 week injury have any LTIR implications? Asking because that would be a big chunk of change.
its way too complicated for me tbh, but i dont think so? i mean i believe they are allowed to go over the cap by the amount of the players contract while said player is on LTIR, but need to be back to being compliant the day hes off of it, like we will have to be with mik coming back. its mainly when a player is "out for the season" that these cap shenanigans take place since theres no salary cap in the post season. could be wrong though lol.

teams are still evaluating their own players at the very beginning of the season, thats why teams will try and sneak players down into the minors very early. as the season progresses, NHL players get injured or dont pan out so more teams will take flyers on players on the waiver wire that they believe can be serviceable in the NHL. at least imo.

True, but Marner was pissed. I'm not so sure he would be going all out like that if he felt he had f***ed up, but I'm just guessing. Muzzin also hasn't been near good enough to justify this injury he just caused, so that pisses me off too.

It's a fast paced sport, and accidents happen. We don't know anything more than that. It's just baseless speculation as to what happened... and yes, if you got hurt, you'd be pissed at the other guy too, no matter whether the accident was 40% or 60% your fault.

Those teams don't have to scour the waiver wire for a chance at a successful claim in this case. The GM need only pick up the phone and call Ho Sang's agent. Well, every GM not named Lou.

It should.

  • To qualify for LTIR, a player must be expected to miss at least 10 NHL Games AND 24 days of the NHL season

There is always going to be some adversity during an 82 game season. This is still nothing unusual. The Leafs still have 6 NHL level bodies on defense and 3 of their 4 star forwards in the lineup.

ho sang has made it clear he wants to be in toronto, most likely because he believes the leafs actually want him to succeed long term with the club. its quite possible he had NHL contract offers and took our offer instead. if he goes on the waiver wire he doesnt have the same choice as he did when he signed his AHL deal with us.

this is his quote:
“I'd be willing to start in the East Coast,” Ho-Sang said at the outset of camp. “I'm not entitled by any means. I don’t think that I deserve anything here. For me, I am happy to be a part of this organization in any way they need me. If they need me sharpening skates, if they need me taping sticks, you know, this place is so special, and I don't truly believe that everyone gets to experience that.”

nobody knows what he has, or hasnt turned down contract wise, but he seems to want to be here more than anything.

Yeah it's funny they have video of him getting up and video of him exchanging words with Muzzin but no video of the collision itself .

Sucks to lose Mitch til the new year.
Hope some kids can stand out looking at you Joey.

Yeah, they ran into each other at practice.

From Mitch's reaction it was probably a little more than that, but I'm only guessing.

Somebody said that Muzz "punched" him in the head for being lazy:confused:. LeaFlanders have quite the imagination, especially when they have a hard on for a player, just look at how Holl is being characterized shift in and shift out.:(

I'd love to see what actually happened. Someone, somewhere must have a video.

You would thinks so, that there isn't one is weird to say the least!

Since people are so obsessed with the officiating and fairness: what kind of suspension should Muzzin get?

Also if this was wrestling:

Is Muzzin now a Heel and no longer a Face?
