Since February 1st, last two months:

16G 27A 43P, 1st in NHL, 1.72 PPG, 34 EV points, 2nd place is Matthews with 31, 3rd place is Gaudreau with 28.

What an absolute savage, my god.

Huberdeau:
Goals per game: .343 ( 89th in the NHL)
Points per game: 1.403 (tied for 3rd in the NHL)

Everyone: "OMG, Hart trophy favorite! Look at all his assists!" (lets not talk about his complete lack of playoff success, gpg barely scraping the top 100 or or crap D numbers though)

Marner:
Goals per game: 0.483 (28th in the NHL)
Points per game: 1.362 (5th in the NHL)

Everyone: "So what! What has he ever done in the playoffs?" (lets not talk about his top 30 gpg, solid defensive numbers or about being one of the best PK weapons in the game)

It’s not just the goal, points, it’s the 200 foot game of desire, that should make us optimistic. Just like Matthews I see a new player paradigm, he’s put it all together and is a compellong force at both ends of the ice and all situations. Watch how Marner is always covering his D on a pinch, always exiting the offence zone when he foresees trouble, he’s rarely behind the puck, his IQ is outrageous. You never know, but this is an evolving talent, so the past isn’t entirely applicable.

The Leafs have the 2 best 2-way elite scorers - hands down.

Marner's evolution this season has been remarkable.

Marner's hitting a new level since the new year. Maybe not a new peak level but he's bringing that A game and mixing in reliable scoring touch which isn't something we've seen before. Traditionally not a huge Marner guy but I'm starting pretty comfortable he'll bring it in the playoffs. He's going to dictate how the game is played, it's not about a Ben Chiarot stepping up to him or something.

Marner is now 1 point out of top 10 league wide with so many less games played than everybody else in the top ten. At the pace he has been going on since the new year, he should hit 100 points with ease, along with Matthews. Marner needs 19 points in 14 games (1.35ppg), he's already far above that average since his hot streak, even his overall streak is 1.37ppg.

Since Marner started shooting Matthews-Marner duo confuse the F outta the opposition because now its not just matthews who is gonna shoot. Actually it is a tripple threat. Shot can come from anyone... Matthews, Marner or Bunting
It's something we need to not brush off - a magical season......especially WHEN they go far in these playoffs.

Calling it first.

I have to say that as he keeps playing like a young god, my confidence level keeps rising as well. Trying not to think about it too much as I've been burnt before, I remember all too well how super confident I was that we'd beat MTL last year. But it's hard not to be optimistic at this point, the best I've ever seen anyone play as a Leaf was Gilmour at his peak but other than that, the only player that's even come close to playing at the level Marner is playing at now is of course Matthews. What a treat it is to watch these guys play right now, incredible stuff and yes it's very hard to imagine Marner withering away in the playoffs, I just don't see it happening either.

Don't jinx it. No matter how well we play we will be up against a team on the same tier as us, goaltending is still a big question mark and Campbell needs to play well. That's not something we can count on at this point and if it doesn't happen, we're toast.
