Oh my bad, I forget PP points don't count as points.

The worst PP team in the league the last ~4 years doesn't want a PP specialist? How badly do you want this team to tank, be honest.
If Briere traded a 2nd rd pick for a PP specialist, would you applaud that move?
Ghost is ancient history, AV and CF are ancient history.
Who gives a F at this point?

Yeah man, trading a second for a ppg defenceman sounds awful. Gross. Yucky. Who wants that?

Better to let the team tank! That's what you always say.

Ghost doesn't score that much at ES, he's a PP specialist.
Would I want a top 4 D-man who scores a lot at ES, yeah, we have one in Sanheim.

No we don't. Arizona doesn't count, it's like saying AMac was a first pair D-man b/c he was on the first pair on a terrible Islanders team.

Ghost has been on the third pair on every other team he played for since leaving Philly.
Or do you think Brind'Amour is stupid?

Arizona does count. So does Philly. And Detroit. And anywhere else he has played. You don't get to throw away entire years because they happen to prove you wrong. The correct thing to do is admit you're wrong and adapt.

Rod stupid? Reread my post. The answer to that is already there.

111 PPG in 275 games since trading Ghost and Voracek. 13.8 PP%, and only 10.5% Net because they have allowed 27 SHG.

Amusingly, that puts them at 33rd in both percentages, because Utah and Arizona are treated separately.

Ghost is 6th in 5x5 minutes on Carolina.
But he plays 3:52 minutes a game on PP.
Most of his scoring has come on the PP, ES 2-6 8 PP 4-13 17
Necas, Aho, Svechnikov, Jarvis

That's what AV didn't get, don't make him into what he wasn't, a top 4 D-man.
Carolina shelters him at ES and rides him on the PP.
Pp points matter as well, stop down playing points, points are points and they really matter all the same

Probably a team that paid an enormous price to dump him and has ranked for years on end at or near the bottom of the league in PP%.

Worst "trade" in franchise history.
Nah. Trading Sharp for a 3rd rd pick was much worse.

Nah. The Ghost dump and moves directly after have caused massive ripple effects for years on end. What did they do after dumping Ghost? Traded an overpayment for Risto, re-upped Risto, scrambled after a Ghost-replica replacement in Gus/Yandle/TDA, and have since been unable to replicate any semblance of production Ghost was and is currently producing.

What we really need is the ability to test before the person dies. I understand it's caused by a buildup of a certain protein in the brain that effects the function of neurons. Hopefully some brilliant scientist develops a test.

cows at upenn have been getting repeatedly rammed in the head by calibrated pistons to develop cte, all while undergoing routine brain scans, so that scientists can figure out what cte would look like on imagining.

these sorts of studies in tandem with the increasing power of brain imaging and data processing will lead to identifying cte without the need to use a tissue sample (be dead) in the fairly near future.

so less a brilliant scientist than the contribution of many researchers and animals across different fields.
