Picked up Silovs (vs Pittsburgh) for a spot start and made a last minute swap for Desmith (vs Chicago).

Thought I made the right choice after Silovs had allowed 5 goals earlier in the night... Desmith has allowed 6 goals on 19 shots and hasn't been pulled (Oettinger played last night).

Terrible tragedy. Poor kid was riding home from a game when he was in the neck from a stray bullet. Police say it was likely from a gun battle going the other way on the highway

There's no video of it because there's basically no evidence of minor league hockey from back then besides box scores and stats. But I distinctly remember MAF nearly doing this against Hershey in the 06 playoffs when he played for the Baby Pens. He tried to pass the puck back behind his net and wound up ringing it off the pipe.
