It’s just watering down the product so that the existing owners can score money on entry fees. The owners would have a sixty-four plus team league if they could and get entry fees.

Organizations gleefully water down their own talent. The smart teams can target the amateur level better than ever. I cannot express how big a fan I am of smug and stale “legacy” franchises getting humiliated by expansion teams.

They'd sooner try to loosen the Cap so they can stand more of a chance than adapt.

I've been traveling so I'm behind, but the NHL expanding to the Houston and the Atlanta is now putting the league past the point where parity won't exist.

Not because of unfair conditions, but because so much of the hockey community is too stubborn and stupid to learn. Teams that prioritize efficiency are going to win. Teams like the Flyers will be further from winning than ever. The small cohort of teams that are efficiently managed and win in the margins are going to have a bigger advantage.
Good. Adapt or die. Let's see how long this dumbass org is willing to cling to 50 year old glory and continue on with being the culture police. Would be just as entertaining as actually watching them evolve to the times, but entertaining in a car crash sort of way

It's a tough spot b/c Swayman has looked great in a split role, but you can only justify big money if he can handle a 50+ game plus playoffs workload for multiple seasons.

He has started 41, 37 and 44 games the past three seasons. Last year 12 PO games, 6 the previous two years combined.

GA - xGA last three seasons -0.28
However, Ullmark was -0.39.

How much is he worth?

The one thing North Americans won't do to make their cars safer is clean the crap out of their garages so there's room to park indoors.

Wait really? I thought just this was a California, particularly Bay Area thing. I’ve seen 100K Porsches out on the street all night so that bikes, boxes and old lamps can sit in the garage.

When we moved into our current neighbourhood in a Vancouver suburb, a neighbour actually complimented me for using the garage for vehicles.

There's not a house in view from my property that has its cars parked in their garages. Everyone parks on their driveways and uses the garages for storage. Insanity.

I put a floor down in my garage so I could use it as a shop.
