Hey Billy,

Zalesak is still exempt from this year's waiver draft...

He signed at 20 during the 2000-01 season therefore exempt for three seasons...00-01, 01-02, 02-03...don't forget that since the league considers this off-season as part of 02-03 (the end of it) and since the waiver draft is held prior to the start of the 03-04 season, Zalesak does not require protection, he is exempt.

They have all played too many games (115, 106, 158), none of them qualify, they MUST all be protected.
