OK, so Minnesota is #1 in the NHL and things go pretty well for a while, then the injuries starts to pile up but they still keep winning most of their games. Then they have a game where everything goes wrong and all of a sudden Russo is having a panic attack?
He's shopping people all over the place and starts to hallucinating about 2011 as if that is a normal thing for teams to do once they lost a horrible game to last year's SC runner up.
Chill out, dude. Inhale, count to 4, exhale.

Inside Russo there are two different Russo's, the one that sucks and the one that doesn't suck, and if you've spent a lot of time following his work, you know which is which when it's occurring

It's still a fine article because I had to do my research to remember which season that was. Not every fan is in the know like many of us on this boards are. I had to google "best season start in Wild history", had to then check NHL.com to that season to see where we ended up, I then had to search when the losing streak happened. And if I had to do that, most general fans aren't going to go through the pain of searching that.

But just take it as it is, a history lesson of when it happened before. No need to take 2 more jumps forward to say anyone is panicking. Because it was definitely fascinating when that happened.

If I’m being totally honest I can see an even more epic collapse happening this year.

The team was slightly outperforming when healthy. They were pulling off miracles beating anyone once the injuries started. The only reason this turtle is sitting anywhere near the top of the fence post is the strength of schedule , some luck and Gus/Kap standing on their heads.

That shit is about to come crashing down. Yet another Minnesota castle built on the sand. Hoooray

That team that crashed wasn't very good, this team actually has some talent. Just have to ride out the injuries.

keep in mind dino ciccarelli was 5'10" and scored 608G
From the net front?

Ciccarelli wasn't a center from what I can tell either. Little bit easier to get away with lack of size on the wing (which is why they should try Rossi at wing at some point).

Behind the net
Always liked Wild mostly because of the Finns Koivu and Granlund, now they have none but have the best kit (the one today) in the NHL and are an actual powerhouse. Finns were the problem!

Well, what word in the finnish language sounds similar to Rossi and what does it mean? :)

Rossi is a fairly common Finnish surname, I think it's just etymologically unrelated to the Italian one.

Not sure what it means though.

Ok I wasn't aware about that there are finnish "Rossi's" too.

There are several famous italian guys with the Name of Rossi, for exampla Valentino Rossi. It's not a common name in Austria imo.
