Decent idea in theory, but I don't think it'll happen. The Pens will probably just use Petry as a 1D while Letang is out and promote Smith from the AHL. They won't trade their first for Dumba; it's not worth it for them at this point.

If Pitt was a legit contender, this would make more sense. But they are not and that pick should fall in the mid teens.

It’s a good idea in theory but I actually think Letang isn’t going to be out all that long. It sounds like his stroke was substantially less severe than it was back in 2014, when he missed like 2 months due to it.

If Letang was out for the year, this would be a super reasonable proposal.

Well GMJR didn't really help in that matter either, he traded away terrible high picks for poor players like Reaves and Zucker in his final years. And when he did draft, we got Pouliot!!
