Usually in these media releases , it is stated that it is a mutual termination if it is. This one wasn't

It hasn't been said outright that it's a mutual termination yet, but that seems the most likely thing. Not sure it's worth worrying over either way.
I hope Novak does well in Europe, he's been an easy kid to cheer for. I wish/hope the NHL could be in his future, but as a small-sized scorer who hasn't scored all that torridly in the ECHL, it seems unlikely.

5th round pick on third and final year of an ELC that had Hodgkins Lymphoma to miss a lot of time while in recovery (entire 22-23 from what it looks like), that is back now, was assigned to the ECHL, and both sides are likely ready to move on so he can sign a deal back home.

Don't know the situation, but if a player just refuses too report, the team can terminate for breach of contract
