Got to make room on the depth chart for better players. Provorov should be next.
Is Columbus out of the playoff race? The Jiricek trade probably doesn't happen the same way if Waddell isn't gifted Fabbro.

With the Johnny G tragedy looming over their season, you wonder if this isn't a team that could make the playoffs as an underdog.

Hunt seems like he will be a good fit in helping the development of Mateychuk.

Bold move for Guerin who didn’t have to make it. These type of deals can really blow up in your face.

Have faith in Jiricek and it looks like Minnesota’s d core is going to be pretty good for a solid decade or so. However, I also liked Hunt. If Jiricek isn’t a high end 2nd pairing d man this could end up pretty painful for Minnesota. The good news for them, if he busts, it’s not a huge deal they already have their #1 back there and a pretty solid prospect pool.

Interested to see how the cap shakes out with them loading up on guys near the same age range with Kaprizov needing an extension soon.

Tough to gauge this trade. The guy has plenty of potential, but everything I've read says he gets easily beaten off the rush I.e his skating is really bad. Big RHD are rare and he's still a kid, so I get it why the Wild would do it. I wouldn't have minded if the Leafs offered a similar deal and got him, but it's definitely a roll of the dice. Seems like he needs more development..
