Minnesota acquires:

Right to swap 1st round picks with DET in 2023
Jordan Oesterle

Conditional 2025 1st round pick MIN (if Arizona's pick wins 2023 lottery becoming #2 and Minnesota executes the swap)

Detroit acquires:
Rossi
Conditional 2024 and 2026 1st round picks MIN (if Detroit's pick wins 2023 lottery becoming #1 and Minnesota executes the swap)
Conditional 2025 1st round pick MIN (if Detroit's pick wins 2023 lottery becoming #2 and Minnesota executes the swap)

Well this is a really awful proposal but I'd love to see Steve Dangle try and do a trade tree about this years down the road. Now though if the salary retention on Erikkson were 23% then I'd be all over it, but at 22% it's just not enough.

You haven't explained how this benefits Minnesota at all.

We all know the real answer, but I'd like to know how you didn't arrive there.

I could be way off here, because this trade idea is about as nonsensical as it gets, but is the idea that we give up Boldy and Rossi for the off chance that either Detroit or Arizona win the lottery next year, in which case we'd then have to give up multiple more 1sts to get, presumably, Bedard?

What a mess lol. Didn’t read because of how ridiculous and convoluted this is.
MN gambles Rossi and Boldy that one of Arizona or Detroit wins the draft lottery next year (and if that does happen, MN then also gives up 3 1st round picks on top of that to take Bedard) and in return for giving up Boldy and Rossi, the Wild get two cap dumps, a 2nd round pick, and a conditional COL 1st rounder. Truly abysmal.

The fact you took the time to try and explain this I gotta give a thumbs up. I mean it’s stupid end of the day? But yah you definitely put a thought process in it. And I think we all could appreciate that
