It really pains me to see how far he has fallen. Had oodles of potential but a freak accident took him out for a year and he never really rebounded properly. It sapped a little bit of his quickness, he lost confidence, and never really got back right in the head. He's so aggressive that all three of those issues absolutely killed his game.

I hope he's able to bounce back after some in the AHL and carve himself out a decent career as a backup or spot starter.

Every start last year with the Sharks one just assumed would be a regulation loss. He was so awful you felt bad for him, except then he'd pull an absolutely boneheaded move handling the puck, and your sympathy would vanish.

Hope he plays better with Minny, or, far more likely, in the AHL.
