Toronto + Winter Classic (maybe the highest profile regular season game) is not the same thing as Buffalo on a random Saturday. Lupul didn't get suspended because it would have been a black eye on the NHL with the WC.

I'm not saying Brodeur wasn't a great goaltender himself during New Jersey's winning seasons but that franchise has been carried by the trap and Scott Stevens for the majority of Lou Lamoriello's tenure.

Good: Miller, Omark's patience. Moulson's quickness/sneakyness and D'ags. Larsson was a great force tonight. That line made me happy

Bad: Ehrhoff looks lacking. Disappointing because I like him, he can do better. Myers looked off/crappy hit/penalty.

Ugly: Devils hockey style... Slow and just clogs everything up in the game.

Larsson, Ott and D'ags looked good, keep them together.
Ennis making things happen, and was second in hits if I'm not mistaken.
Omark showed some of what he's got. The pass to Flynn was brilliant.
Weber's open ice hit, and he was good over all.
Myers Kronwalling. It shouldn't be a suspension since the primary target isn't the head. He only did what Kronwall does on a regular basis, just happens to be taller. Either way, I don't care, I love seing Myers' nasty side.

Ehrhoff. How many times did he give it away in the D-zone? He was really bad.

No instigation call on the fight with Weber. This whole "you hit someone hard and clean so we must fight" is ridiculous.

Why assume that? Zubrus wasn't injured, and although I personally don't think that should ever factor in, that's usually the NHL's barometer.
