I only got to watch the 2nd half of the game but I actually thought he made a couple nice defensive plays on Ovechkin. :shrug:

Yeah it's possible, I faded out, but he let Grabovski in on the crazy Miller save.

I love watching these guys play... definitely turned something around...but we still need to tank. Nonetheless I'm ecstatic to see them win games

Omark's passing smarts - Nolan needs to put him with line mates who can anticipate what he's going to do.

U: Caps broadcast team thinking Grubner (sp?) is the 2nd coming of goaltending
Like others around here, I've met and known a few top athletes and based on my experience, there's no such thing as a "tank" to a professional athlete. Frankly, the tank references are getting old and a bit redundant.
Yeah, I know I don't have to post on to these boards either but c'mon, it's the best congregation of Sabre faithful out there. It's just getting boring that so many seem to view everything in terms of whether it helps or hurts the "tank".
There is no "tank" (at least I suspect, not in the locker room.)
Between us, I'd rather see them play hard and fail than be the dispirited bunch we all saw earlier this season (and nearly ruin our rookies on our way to the vaunted #1 draft slot.). Buffalo will play its way to whatever draft slot it "earns" It will be be a low one so I'm not worried about it.

Goaltending is masking how bad this team really is....and that's saying something since we are the worst team in the standings.

Of course. Who has ever said the players or coaches aren't trying to win?
That doesn't mean we're not factually tanking, that said tank isn't the best thing for us long term, or that management hasn't planned it that way.

Agreed. The goaltending is world class right now. But the team defensive game has also improved.
Overall I'll take this team's D cadre over last years….. ex.: Pysyk>Leopold, Not really missing Sekera as much now now that Myers has his game back either. Ehrhoff is not playing as well but Webers stepped up his game. McNabb is playing well too. McBain is not a favorite of mine but he's been much better than I was expecting.
Agree, but wanted to say that McBain has been getting better and better as the season is progressing, and his offensive instincts are probably the best of all of our D-men (with the possible exception of Myers when he is "on")

How much was the split between Buffalo and Washington fans.
When I would go to games in Washington when I lived there it was about 40-50% Buffalo fans.
