2nd rounder to get out of Mikheyev's deal sounds about right. Yeah, that's believable.

Canucks are in a prime situation to open up the vault for Guentzel now. No one will care about paying a 2nd to move Mikheyev if they can pull off Guentzel.

If the stuff coming out of Carolina about Necas is correct, there's a real chance that the Canes finish it and actually get Guentzel extended. We'll see, but salary flexibility is still good for Vancouver.

Eh of course Tlusky is going to speak positively of re-signing Guentzel. I'll believe it when I see it.

It really has to be done. Cap space is invaluable and the Canucks still needs to sign Zadorov or go for the big fish Guentzel. This sucks but it really is a no brainer. Be done with your mistake and move on.
