It's a fifth round pick. Chabot played almost forty minutes two weeks ago, this isn't a big deal lol.So that’s Namestikov and Reilly coming over for draft picks. Unnecessary.
Who said it’s a big deal? Also, it’s not like Chabot was the only dman playing. DJ made him play those minutes, nothing wrong with playing Boro heavy minutes in a tanking season. It's a fifth round pick. Chabot played almost forty minutes two weeks ago, this isn't a big deal lol.

Guys, we took on money in a trade...what the hell is going on? New owner???? Are we selling both of our firsts this year for cash????
Below average bottom pairing guy making 1.5M this year and next
Don't know how the Habs got a pick out of us, but if it means Brannstrom finally gets sent down, consider me a fan of this move.
Yup no reason to send him down until around the end of seasonBrannstrom had looked good since he came back from his stint with Belleville.
A 5th ?
He must've had a bonus paid already.
It pretty much Rielly for a 5th but and they took Sturtz because of our contract limit. ( i believe we are near 50.
Seems like it.
The trade keeps the Sens at 48 contracts. Sturtz is 25 and was having a hard time staying in the lineup in Belleville. Gives him more of a chance to play and helps manage the contract situation. I also think this move makes it easier to heavily focus on drafting forwards in the upcoming draft. I think this draft has quality forwards in every round. Reilly is still young so that gives the Sens a d man that they could still build their d core with. This is arguably a better move than just acquiring a filler d man that is 30 or older.
