Exactly this. Add on whatever the cap will increase to in 2 years, he'll have an easy case for double digit AAV.

Which is why I'm so hesitant to hand out extensions to guys like Strome, Fast, and before today, Kreider. We're gonna need the cap flexibility to sign guys like Mika, Fox, Kakko, Chytil, and possibly Buch to team friendly, longer-term deals if we want to, rather than be forced into signing short-sighted bridge deals that hurt us in the long run (like what we already saw last year/are seeing again this year with ADA).
