I would like to formally welcome all my Detroit friends to the Jordan Love era.

In my cheesehead, Detroit are my rivals alter-ego, I started the season cautiously optimistic; now I'm simply optimistic.

I admit, the Lions are looking good. I've also noticed that the general feeling among Lion fans seems to be lots of confidence but not a huge amount of arrogance, which I have to respect.

All I really wanted from this season was a reason to have faith in the future, and I've already got that. Some setbacks are to be expected, just ideally not against division rivals.

First time I can remember going into a Lions Packers game (especially one at Lambeau) that I feel like the Packers will lose, but I felt like we would probably lose to the Bears too so let's go.

The bears are a tire fire, I love it. How people were expecting them to be god this year, or compete for the division always seemed outrageous

Its actually crazy the step hes taken forward this season so far. People kept saying at draft time that he didnt have much upside and that he was a safe pick. I never understood that, he had only played D end for one season and had one of the best RAS scores ever at the combine. His upside was as high as anyones in that draft, if not higher and he was a game wrecker in a conference full of high end offensive linemen in college.

Georgia completely game planned around him in the CFP and people lost their minds about him not destroying bascailly his only game of the year. They look stupid now

I didn't expect them to be good, knew their fans were up to their typical hype nonsense. But we have a history against QBs who can run (or anyone that can run) and I didn't expect Justin Fields to turn into a lump of coal.

I got Justin Fields in the 2nd round of my Bad Quarterback Fantasy League, where you want your quarterbacks to do as poorly as possible. Pretty happy with my 1-2 punch of Dobbs and Fields at this point lol.

Good luck tonight, our sweet @Bench. All is fair in love and war.
I feel like Bench recently caught a stray attacking him for being a Packers fan, where in reality he just lives in Wisconsin… and is a Vikings fan

Regardless, there are definitely enemies here on this board, whoever they may be

Lions fans know what’s going on all too well. And here come the drunk refs

The lions had the ball the entire first half and got basically no calls, the packers come out after the half and the refs kept their drive going with some dumb calls, then gifted them their only other touchdown when time ran out.

That win was even more dominant than the final score.

Refs needed to make the game look competitive so more than Lions fans would keep watching. It is what it is. We know what these refs are.

Love the new Lions. Went to Arrowhead and Lambeau and won in spite of hatchet job zebras.

A convincing win in an important game. Great stuff. Here's to hoping The Kneecap Regime can keep it going.

6 straight wins in the division and 4 straight against the Pack too. They do need to get healthy though or they might drop a game they shouldnt

There are so many yummy comments in the past several pages of this thread from packers fans lol. It's tough though, when your team is in decline and you're in denial. You cling to things like past success, and end up shooting your mouth off because you lack any predictive ability, having been drunk on previous success.

You love to see it.

I would have been more than happy being 2-2 at this point. So I'll take it and continue being cautiously optimistic.

Lions are hurting right now but plenty of other teams are in the same boat.

It’s the NFL. They’re putting themselves through literal car crashes every week.

It’s kind of like how in the NHL playoffs you can assume that pretty much nobody is healthy.. that’s the NFL, particularly when you have these f***in stupid Sunday->Thursday turnarounds

I didn’t feel truly welcomed until after last night :naughty:
And, having posted in a pro-Packer fashion on a Detroit forum, I accept your gloating with good grace.

There is no doubt the Lions deserved the win, and if someone other than the Packers have to be best in the division this year, I can live with it being Lions.

I think the lions have something like 7 games left against teams that are bottom 5 in ESPN's power rankings. Coming out of this stretch of the schedule 3-1 after playing in Green Bay and Arrowhead is about the best case that was realistic, and they did it extremely injured.
