1st goal goes to Moyle. Michigan is firing on all cylinders. Portillo has been en fuego. If they hold on it will be a real ball-tingler against Denver.

It will suck for for east coast fans if there are 4 midwestern teams in the Frozen Four in Bahstin...yet, I can't muster any sympathy for them:nod:

Oof, 4-3 now. Michigan has been bad in their own end all night, and it's finally catching up with them. Bad news here.

Oooooohhhh...Michigan needs to quit taking their foot off the gas with a lead. It nearly bit them in the arse against Minnesota, now Quinnipiac is knocking on the door.

What an opportune moment for a goalie equipment issue:thumbd:

I was supremely confident going in to the 3rd. Shitting myself a little bit now.
If it weren't for Portillo, Quinnipiac probably would have been leading 2-0 or so early on. Bobcats ain't goin' out with a whimper.

Edit: until they made that idiotic pulled goalie play.

Yeah, Quinni was playing good 5 on 5. I see no reason to pull the goalie that quick.

Pulled the goalie way too soon. It's like they just looked at the metrics on that and ignored all the context relevant to this particular game. They galaxy-brained it.

Well, anyway, thanks for the gift. Go Blue!

Sweet last goal by Brisson. That dude has been their most unheralded player all year.

Should be a great game against Denver and a great Frozen Four in general.

Denver is gonna be a serious challenge.
I really hate the long lag between the regionals and the FF. It will likely serve UM well though; they'll have time to reconcile that dubious 3rd period. Also, Denver was rolling full steam ahead. They only beat Duluth 2-1 but they owned that game. The time off might cool their jets a bit.

Detroit to DC to Chicago
Cade is very much that dude.

It's been a tough stretch for Detroit pro sports. Pistons have a nice little core building with Cunningham and Bey, hopefully a top ~5 pick can come in and build on that. Mize, Torkelson, and Greene are giving the Tigers some life. Obviously Seider, Raymond, and Larkin are giving us a glimpse of a brighter future for the Wings. None of those jobs are finished by any stretch, but it's nice to see us start to turn the corner.

I was thinking earlier today- What if Cade/Saddiq/Maybe Jerami simply had better role players around them that could reliably defend and shoot? I'm definitely excited for this next draft but I'm kind of hoping for some shrewd trades in the summer to get some better vets (not CoJo or KO). Obviously from the vet 3-and-D fantasy store.

They’re definitely using the bench more then they should IMO.but it’s for the best we’ll get another top pick cause of it.

I think in 3 years time a core built around Cunningham, Bey and Banchero/Holmgren could do some serious damage

It's not about that for me. I get it. I just really hope this is the last tanking season. (Heh- I say "last" as if they haven't only been doing it for two seasons...)
