Are there actually still people who believe the seedings are based on merit instead of television ratings? How cute.

It's all about the money. Always has been.

Then tell me who has provided the best TV ratings in all of football this year. Give you a hint, they like maize and blue.

You misunderstand me. Michigan is definitely a ratings booster. But a repeat of Alabama and Georgia isn't - they'll make more money as a whole if the pairings are fresh, regardless of who deserves to be in which seeding.

All the more reason to ensure that doesn’t happen in the biggest game of the season.

The rematch should have come in the semi finals.

Yes. We want fresh pairings before the possible National Championship SEC Championship rematch game.

Major props to those who waited until the end of the Lions game.
As bad as the Lions have been, they gave us many close games with memorable endings. It's just fair that at least once they emerged as winners of one of their nailbiters. And regardless of Campbell being a good HC or not, he seems to be a decent human; it obviously really meant something to him to dedicate the game ball to the Oxford HS victims.

Gruß,

Shoulda came down to Ohio State and Georgia are very comparable wins, Michigan State was a significantly better loss than aTm. Trying to compare outside of that is wishy washy at best. Georgia has played no one this year. If Ohio State or Michigan play Georgias schedule theyre the one seed going into the last week as well.

For starters, I would say theres a big difference between something like the Rutgers game happening week 3 or 4 vs the Auburn game happening second last week of the year and being a 4OT game, not a regulation win. But we arent going to talk about Bama barely getting by Florida or LSU either? Bama played a bunch of close games to end the year, throw Arkansas in the mix as well... And the B1G east is just as good as Bamas schedule. Bama played way closer games and had a much worse loss with a comparable win.

If it was a random team and not Bama with their history, I dont even think it would be a big discussion. Michigan would be number 1 but Bama has their history to fall back on with their name value so thats how it goes

Well, we have established our takes.

If Georgia played a glorified MAC schedule to get here and Bama is vunerable then the seedings shouldn't matter in principal.

Good luck and hapoy watching.

I will add, the B1g title game was amazing with the dedication to Oxford and the eerie score matching the deceased football player's jersey number. No one can root against that.

Hehe. Fun tweet.

Looked into that more... God, Twitter is stupid.

"Hey Nashville, it must suck that your city's name rhymes with Trashville"

"I know someone who lives in Detroit didn't just say something".

This is kindergarten level stuff.

That's what Twitter is. At least our city's teams are "unified" over social media.

In all seriousness though I do like it generally when they @ each other. Especially it's not between the Wings and Tigers, same owner and all.

Oh for sure. I'm just focusing more on Nolan Bianchi and the Preds. That was stupid. Detroit sports, all they needed to do was not be petty dipshits and they succeeded/

Lions gunna Lions and Lions themselves out of the #1OA pick.

If the Jags pick first it wouldnt be that bad for the lions. If Pickett climbs, the Jags arent taking him. They would get first crack at Hutchinson or Thibodeaux but I dont really think theres much separating those 2 and whoever gets them will be happy.

There is strting to be a lot of talk about Pickett climbing now that his year is done and might actually be the Lions QB next year
