Shoulda came down to Ohio State and Georgia are very comparable wins, Michigan State was a significantly better loss than aTm. Trying to compare outside of that is wishy washy at best. Georgia has played no one this year. If Ohio State or Michigan play Georgias schedule theyre the one seed going into the last week as well.
For starters, I would say theres a big difference between something like the Rutgers game happening week 3 or 4 vs the Auburn game happening second last week of the year and being a 4OT game, not a regulation win. But we arent going to talk about Bama barely getting by Florida or LSU either? Bama played a bunch of close games to end the year, throw Arkansas in the mix as well... And the B1G east is just as good as Bamas schedule. Bama played way closer games and had a much worse loss with a comparable win.
If it was a random team and not Bama with their history, I dont even think it would be a big discussion. Michigan would be number 1 but Bama has their history to fall back on with their name value so thats how it goes
