Man, the ESPN game report crapped all over him. Worst shooting percent from a no 1 debut in forever. Least points scored by a no 1 in their debut in forever....but hey he played some defense and got a few rebounds....Almost sounds like a Zadina game report, lol

Every time I see this thread, I cannot help but think "There is one lousy team from Detroit, though". And even with expecting rather little from the Lions, they still have disappointed.

After a ton of bad luck, the Lions seem broken. The loss against the Eagles felt like the last major building block of a historical and infamous 0-17 season.

The roster was always trash and never expected anything out of this season.

But even still, Goff throwing it away on 4th down (again) is some astonishing SOL stuff and going for it on 4th and 1 from the 22 with 13 seconds left in the half is an amazingly bad decision that has me putting Campbell on the hot seat already. What was the end goal there??

I can't disagree with #1 and 2. 3-10 was interesting. I'm curious as to what part of the rankings you think is terrible though?

Alabama should not be #2 just based on potential. Wiscy shouldn’t be sniffing the top 25 this year. Cincinnati should be in the top 4. Oregon shouldn’t be in the top 4 either they’ve had nothing but close wins and a bad loss to Stanford. I could go on.

Cunningham is a brick machine right now.

Edit: the entire team has really all season actually. Maybe Casey should be on the hot seat.

It's rough right now and it'll only get worse for the next few weeks as they go against Eastern Conference contenders.

Cade is coming off an ankle injury with no pre-season and only two (?) practices with the team since the injury. He individually gets a pass for a little bit. We shall re-visit in a few weeks. I was actually somewhat surprised the guy got trapped on his very first touch. He's already at the top of opposing team's scouting reports somehow.

The offense in general is dead worst in the league because of the Starting Five. I don't know if maybe they're each cracking under group pressure to make a play-in appearance as well as individual pressure (All-Star considerations, All-Team considerations).

CFP rankings are like pre season Heismans. They're clickbait - nothing really matters until weeks later.

No, you misread what I said. I don't care about them at all. Not now, not end of the year. I have one hope every year. That EMU gets to a bowl game and EMU wins that bowl game.

Step 1: Complete.
Step 2: In progress.

The Bama thing will sort itself out. They still have to play LSU and Auburn. Then we'll see if Kirby Smart rolls over and shows his belly to Saban in the Sec championship game.

I'm with youon Oregon, but I still think they'd beat Cincy, as would Bama or tOSU (would you lay money on Cincy over Bama or the Bux?) Plenty o' season left though.

They still have to play LSU

I'm sure Saban is tossing and turning at night thinking about how they will beat the 4-4 LSU team with losses to UCLA, Auburn, Kentucky, and Ole Miss.

The fact of the matter is that Cincy needs a lot of help to get into the playoffs. They need Georgia to run the table and beat Alabama. They need Ohio State to beat Michigan State, Michigan, take the Big 10 championship, and probably need Penn State to pull an upset on Michigan State. They need Oklahoma to fall on the sword as well.

If all of those things play out, you figure Bama is out as a 2 loss team without a conference championship. MSU is out as a two loss team, OSU jumps up and claims one of those spots, Oregon holds steady, and the last spot would be up to Oklahoma and Cincinatti. If Oklahoma drops one, it makes it more feasible for Cincy to get in.

In other words, Cincy won't make the playoffs.
