He's a UFA this offseason, just trying to gauge what he'll get on the market.

$4-$4.5M over 3-5 years sound about right?

2nd pair guy who can put up 35-40pts every year but seems a bit injury prone.

I wouldn't count on that and I'm not sure he's reliable enough to warrant more than a 2-3 year contract.

Something in the low $4M range seems about right though.

If you asked me before this year, I would have said he gets 5+ from someone. He was really showing genuine progress, especially defensively. This year? Something like 3/10 and mostly on previous production. He hasn't been any flavor of good.

People need to remember he's coming off an injury. He will be better by the end if the year in time for a new deal. I'd say 4-5 is fair. Just won't be with the flyers.

Even strength he can produce offensively. Hopefully Hextall can turn him into an asset or half-decent pic at the deadline.
