Not a poster was stirring, not even a Striiker;
The torches were smoking from the fire that was once there,
In hopes that Chuck Fletcher would do what they dare;
The posters were all snug in their beds,
With fire Hakstol memes flowing through their heads,
And BernieParent in his 'kerchief and MSE in his hat,
Had just settled down for a well deserved nap-
When out on Twitter there arose such a chatter,
I quickly hit F5 to see what was the matter.
Away to my Feed I clicked it in a flash,
Wore down my keyboard, due to the mash.
The words on the screen of the long awaited news,
Gave me happiness deep down below;
When, wanting to confirm the words that appeared;
But a single Tweet, and twelve magical words,
From a reporter who sometimes lays turds,
I knew in a moment it must be St. Chuck.
More rapid than social media the words were retweeted,
And Cap'n Dave posted his memes by name:
"Now! Beet Farmer! Now! Haktard! Now! Jet Ski wipeout and game count,
The rest will be omitted for fear of a timeout;
To the HF Flyers Board! To the thread!
Now celebrate away! Celebrate! Celebrate all!
As to commemorate the historical day,
When they fought the Beet Farmer, his beets piled to the sky;
So to the Internet the posters of HF flew,
With memes a plenty and Tripod too:
And then in a moment, I saw it on Twitter
The confirmation from Dreger who earlier was bitter,
As I posted my joy on the thread, and was screaming aloud,
Up went all the joy from St. Chuck's word cloud:
He released a statement, from his office,
The Beet Farmer was gone, banished cause of his offence,
And HF Flyers rose from the ashes,
That were cause by the evil one's terrible matches.
We celebrated that night with joy,
But there were some who kept up their ploy.
Let it be a lesson learned from those long five years,
Put on a boring display and you'll hear no cheers.
Soon we might have a mustache behind the bench,
Please hockey gods give us a good coach and pardon my French.
Merry Christmas my fellow HF Flyers fans,
May you not have beets in any of your pans.
