Is it just me, or does anyone else find the media coverage a bit too excessive when it comes to the TML? They're asked to do interviews, after every practice, public event and all the other moments they go through together.

I think its starting to become tiresome for some players, and detracts from a great hockey market like Toronto. When they have answer over and over to different media outlets. I mean we have, LeafsTV, TSN, Sportsnet, CityTV, CTV, CBC and many, many more asking the same questions over and over.

no, not really. it's a hockey market, it's the same in montreal (who even has a 24/7 style show), and Id assume to a lesser extent the same in Ottawa, Winnipeg. Not really so much in Calgary [i found, but I wasn't paying attention, because i didn't give a crap about Calgary].

big markets for sport = big media exposure and coverage. it comes with the territory.

I have no problem that we over analyze every aspect of the team, and myself listen daily to the latest TML talk on radio stations both on TSN1050 and FAN590. I guess where I draw the line is, when they rehash the same information over and over again between the different stations only so these stations have something to air.

My simple response would be to choose one network to follow leafs related information, and stick with it to a certain degree. I can understand the repetitiveness involved in getting your fill. There are alot of outlets in the city.

As for the requested interviews. They get paid millions of dollars to play hockey. Interviews kind of seem like flys hitting your windshield. Inconvenient, but doesn't effect anything long term.

dunno, I like how players have sold sponsorship's to their hats, don't think that would be valuable in many markets unless the guys name is Crosby.
