We got nobody who is ready to step in and make a serious contribution. Good luck with Douglas, Anderson, McCann ?? Steeves looks good but we needs a big hard-nosed player who can play with Tavares (i.e. Bertuzzi, Josh Anderson, Cerelli, Killorn type).

The management group keeps pointing to the Detroit teams of the 90's and tampa as examples of it takes time to learn to win. They forget to mention Ottawa of the 2000's and San Jose of the 2010's that never did. It's not guaranteed to happen just because some other teams did figure it out long ago. A lot of other teams never did...we are looking like San Jose more than Detroit or Tampa.

I don't think keefe is a bad coach, but I find it dubious that he will be seen as a legendary coach 20 years from now. That's not really a good enough justification for keeping him on while coaches who are currently great are available
