Many many years ago I used to post on the NYR board and the typo "loose" was as common as the typo "your", and most of them weren't international posters that I know of. This poster is obviously international, but that's not always the case.

Yeah, I see English speakers with the your and you're and loose and lose typos all the time. It drives me crazy. But I guess there are international speakers here, and this isn't exactly an English class, so I shouldn't have said anything.

I'm more scared of Malkin than Crosby. Bigger, stronger, just as good a skater, and in my opinion has better hands. So explosive and dangerous. A lot harder to shut him up than Sid. Ive always felt this way.

Crosby is hands-down the best player in the game. Malkin is top 10 and possibly top 5.

I see all kinds of crap but I only think it's noteworthy when it's someone who's native language is English. Especially the last example makes me cringe.

Anyway,

The opinion stated, that if we lose tonight the win in game 1 means nothing, is one I don't share. Going back to home-ice with a tie is huge (for any team apart from the Rangers of course haha).

My favorite (you don't see this here though) is "your an idiot". I literally have never seen it written as "you're an idiot". Either this person who wrote "your an idiot" is ridiculously lazy and didn't want to proofread a 3 word post despite knowing that you better not look like an idiot yourself in this type of post, or the guy doesn't know the difference and is the real idiot. Once against this isn't about HF. Often you see it on fb or youtube.

I have much the same opinion, though I generally only actually mention it if I'm reasonably sure the poster is a native speaker and (s)he's picked on the grammar/spelling of someone else.

Related, should've/should of strikes me as a mistake made more often by native speakers than the ESL/ETL crowd.


Anyway, nothing would please me more than the Rangers leaving Pittsburgh with both games won. Goal by Nash and GWG by Zuccarello, please.
