Denmark have actually won 4 of the past 5 meetings, although only one of those 5 games were in WC's and Norway won that :D

But still, that's rather interesting.

Yeah - Denmark wins many of the friendly matches, but when it comes to the match of importance, Norway gets the win.

However, as Norway only counts the matches at the World Championship, Olympics and qualifying matches for the Olympics and WHC (when they used to have those), it would take more time to research the friendly matches. Between 2011 and 2015 Norway won 3 in regulation and one in OT, while Denmark won 3 and 1 in a shootout, so it is pretty even.

In short: it's gonna be one hell of a match between two rivals who really hate each other!

Also: the national team made a new version of our team song from 1989... about time somebody updated that song. And good they play hockey for a living rather than singing.:D

Norway are 5-0 against Denmark at the WC. Don't expect that to change. But I'm hoping for a point. That would allow us to completely collapse on Slovenia and let Bjorkstrand run his breakaways all game

Seriously Norway will properly win. Just make it hard for them. Don't get any suspensions. Don't get injured - which means always have an eye for Tollefsen.

Someone on Team Denmark is doubtful. Janne Karlsson won't say who. My guess are Daniel Nielsen(catastrophe) or Morten Poulsen(Meh). Sebastian Dahm will get the game against Norway after his USA-game. Funny time to start playing goalies back-to-back

Quite a depressing list from a Danish point of view, but thanks for showing it.
It is rather amazing what a psychological advantage the Norwegians have in these important matches as you say in overall number of matches it is very equal and have been so for the last 15 years or so.

So since Denmark joined the top division in 2003, then Norway have dealt Denmark 5 WC defeats and twice “robbed“ us of Olympic Qualification.

Then I would point out that Norway and Denmark only hate losing to each other - (whether it's icehockey, football or handball), not hating each other in general (at least not any Danes or Norwegians I have met).
OK maybe some Danish players really have got Tollefsen under their skins (Jannik Hansen?)

Exactly :D Personally I have big sympaty for Norway. In generel our rivally with Sweden is WAY bigger... EXCEPT in hockey! Cant stand them!

I desperate need Denmark to win...I need it!

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, oh dear hockey gods! Just let us beat those damn Norwegians for ****ing once!

Result by mind: 4-3 Norway.
Result in Heart: Hardt by KO.

Its always an interesting game, because its two fan groups who generally like eachother in any other sport besides hockey, but there is NO team we would rather beat. And the players very much agree!

Oliver getting promoted to the second line.Good.

He played second line yesterday......I think he will play with his brother and Jesper Jensen like yesterday.

edit: Getting nervous...we are getting close then!

I love Denmark, and I love living in Denmark... except for every May month (and the occasional friendly match in November and February of course). I couldn't give to ***** and a popsicle about soccer (Norway isn't supposed to play on green surfaces anyway - only snow and ice. :P

It is without a doubt the sporting rivalry I personally feel the most about...And I think its even bigger from our side since we are the one who clearly have a Norway problem in terms of WCs. Danes and Norwegians usually have a great relationships.....But when its WC time, I want you guys to suffer.....
