Kings Article: Maxim Kitsyn: “It’s Just Me. I Have To Be Better…It’s Not Anybody Else"

I'm pulling for him. The KHL really sidetracked his development and it seems he's trying to make up for lost time with effort.
 
Saw him play last night in person, he had a nice shootout goal, didn't strike me as head and shoulders above any of the other players out there on either team.
 
I don't think he has an NHL future but it is refreshing to see someone actually take ownership for their play and not make excuses or blame others for why he was down in the ECHL and not the AHL this season.

Also like the quotes about the first one at the rink, last one to leave, it goes against the stereotype of Russian players in the NA minor leagues and it makes me pull for him even more.
