For me it's not so much the height/size difference but the fact that Demidov is in another galaxy skating wise compared to Michkov

Fair, but michkov is on another tier IQ wise. If Demidovs skating hasn’t allowed him to be an equal level prospect at any age group this far, I don’t know if it will later on

I’m having a hard time seeing Michkov having a better career than Kaprizov or Panarin (elite Russian forwards who came over later on) and I don’t think I’d call either of them generational. Is he really going to be better than Malkin? I can’t see it.

Genuinely curious as to why you have a hard time seeing him better than Panarin or Kaprizov? Malkin is one thing because of the athletic toolkit and position but Michkov destroyed all their numbers in their respective 16-18 year old seasons.

Michkov may not be generational but he is by far The best Russian prospect since the 2004 draft imo

For me it's oranges and apples. Michkov is more of a goalscorer and Demidov is more of an assistant. I believe they are talents of a very similar level and are probably next to Kucherov the greatest Russian talents since Ovechkin/Malkin.

Michkov for me. Kucherov 2.0. Everyone raves about his shot and IQ, deservedly so, but his playmaking is insanely underrated. He would have probably 10-15 more assists if he had linemates with better finishing ability. Michkov was also just out for about a month and I'm pretty sure Sochi didn't win a single game without him.
