This has been the story for the last 3 years. More Mature...Stronger...Ready to make the jump. Guy will never be rockin an LA Kings sweater. Lets move on :) hmmm...by my count there is at least 3 guys in front of him for regular NHL duty. Toffolli, Vey, Pearson. Heck you could even put Andreoff and Zykov to make it before he does.

Who said he was ahead of any of those guys?

The article was written well... I wasn't trying to say that you said those guys were behind him. Its just every year there is a new write up on him by whoever it is lakingsinsider or whatever it may be. Its just getting old that's all. Has nothing to do with you :)

You might want to read this one (and one that I linked in that story). The big difference, even thought it won't put him over the top in terms of making it to the NHL is his maturity. It's been a sea change for him.

If Kozun has a great preseason he has a chance to make the team, plus the kings could use some more speed on the team. There are alot more smaller players the nhl now. With so many power plays there's more room for small talented players to score goals, and make plays.

Not to mention Kozun plays much bigger than his frame. In fact, of the current Kings players, outside of a handful, Kozun initiates more contact than any of them. We can debate whether we think he has the goods to be a productive player, his consistent production at lower levels tends to say that he does, but the fact of the matter is, there should be no doubt as to whether he can stand the physical play of the NHL. If Gerbe, Schroeder, St.Louis, and other small guys are able to do it, then there is obviously no doubt that Kozun can too.

There may be more hype around some of our "other" prospects within the system, but in my view, looking at what Kozun brings to the table (Physical, hard-working, speed, goal-scoring, infectious energy that raises players around him to play even harder), it would be a shame if we lost him to waivers if he doesn't make the squad. An LA born kid gets drafted in the 6th round, produces at every level he has played, a world-class major junior player in Canada, to never get a legitimate shot would be, in my view, a mistake.

In terms of the articles FrozenRoyalty continues to produce on him, well, I have already made my thoughts on that known in a previous thread. Suffice to say, I think those that have been around and actually spoken to Kozun, like I have and countless others in the media, know that he's a good guy and easy to talk too. His confidence does not come across as arrogance. My 2 cents anyways.

I wouldn't be the only one who thought he came off as arrogant. As for your insinuation that I haven't actually spoken with him, quite honestly, I don't know how you could possibly come up with that.

As for "countless others in the media," I have serious doubts the number is very large. If your'e going to stick by that, you'll need to document it.

He was cocky and arrogant until this past season. He's come a long way, which is to his credit.
