first off they said it's something he's never had before, that rules out concussion

second if he had a concussion do you think they would put any player, let alone the franchise player on a plane?

think about it, thank really hard about that one
Guys in the NFL who look like they've nearly been decapitated come back and play (get on a plane) to fly to their road destination a week after, so, yes.

maybe he zippered himself like in 'There's Something about Mary' that would slow his skating down a notch

the NHL and NFL are not the same sport, the NFL plays 1 game a week
I know. The point was about getting on the plane with a concussion. Guys take wicked shots all the time in the NFL and fly on planes to play. How do you think guys who suffer concussions on the road in the NFL get home?

Tampa would mark 5 days since his last game. Many guys in NFL are cleared to practice just days after looking like their careers might be over, and then get on a plane to play a week later. The flight is usually 5-6 days after their concussion.

Keefe said this was something Auston hadn't dealt with before, but was it something he hadn't dealt with before during this season? Ever? We know he's being evasive. I wouldn't hang my hat on it not being something he's dealt with over his career. The goal is for nobody to know what it is.

If it was really that bad he wouldn't be on the ice as much as he has and they would of left him at home
They've said the exact same thing with Matthews before and he missed almost a month straight. Skating doesn't mean he's game ready, it's just skating. I call BS on this.

It's a divisional 4 point game, it's battling for home ice in the first round. This game is important and not meaningless.

The fact that Kallgren is in already and Matthews is out tells me I need to be concerned. Why take Campbell out already when he's only played two games and has been on a roll? It's dumb. There's more to the story.

You can never trust this franchise, they do nothing but lie.

Every time they say minor injury day to day Matthews is out for several weeks.

When he comes back he doesn't even look 50%.

He usually ends up needing physio or surgery in the offseason.

These liars will put on charades like bringing him on the road trip to keep up their lies. But only fools fall for it.

Matthews is done for the season. He'll be 50% or less in the playoffs. If we win it'll be a Stamkos in Tampa type situation.

Really pathetic way to end the season. See you next year Matthews. Next season Matthews should be played 40 games max. He clearly gives Zero f***s about individual accomplishments. Need to keep him healthy for the playoffs.

We're 8 points clear of 3rd place, the game is pretty close to meaningless for us. The only thing left to determine this season is who gets that 3rd place between TB and Boston.

That probably takes him out of the running for the Hart.

I don't think it's anything serious. I agree with what someone above said, probably an ankle sprain.
