I bet part of the reason for keeping him out is so no sour grape Islanders took a run at him. They def tried it with a couple of our players, specifically that scumbag Ross Johnston.

I think Papi might be more hurt than they let on.

hearing tavares saying Papi is odd to me haha but hey might be. regardless better safe than sorry lol

Started with the "maintenance day" he had from practice last week. Wish he already had 60 goals...shut him down as long as it takes.

Just let him rest until he is 110%. It's not worth the risk to bring him back a minute too soon.

I wouldn’t be surprised if something was tweaked as far back as the Buffalo game. Seem to recall a few big boy runs with Tuch and co.

When you say Papi I think of David Ortiz. I get that its a term of affection for Latin American people but for me Big Papi is Ortiz.

Dear God....if you exist....please let this man be ready for playoffs.

Signed,

Every Leaf fan who still believes in this team.

If you watch the last shot of regulation(10sec left) vs Ottawa you can see him wince after the shot and push on his hip/thigh

Both shoulders separated. Miracle on ice this kid. I think I saw the play, that tweaked a shoulder but the maniac just played harder.

Probably woke up and went "oh, shit".

Rest brother, rest, let some of these hound dogs in our system have a few games.

So why was the coach riding him so hard? Concerning.

Because you have no idea when is was injured, how he felt during that game, if he was injured before then, and are making an issue out of nothing at this point.

Yes managing your star players down the stretch is nothing, or perhaps you know nothing. Hopefully Mitch gets his 21 minutes again tonight too.

He should take all the time that is needed until he is 100%.

Ones legacy is made in the playoffs. LiftIng a Cup is more important than any individual trophy or achievement.

After a long training camp and full season of battling to get to this juncture, this should be most readily evident to the players themselves.

24 minutes is not some absurd number with OT like you think it is.

Keefe manages his stars based on how a game is going.

Like I've said before if you think we need to manage our stars that much, we should just flip the lineup and run the fourth line for 22, the third for 18, the second for 12, and the first for 8.

This will rest up all the big players, hey we may lose some games and they won't be as playoff-ready, but who cares.

Are you worried about injuries or them getting tired because they played 24 minutes a month before the playoffs?

Your need to exaggerate everything belittles the tortured point your making.
