Yeah, so minor he's sitting 3 games in a row and sitting out against our most likely first round opponent tonight.

If he and Campbell aren't ready for game one, it's lights out. Kallgren won't hold down the fort. Tavares won't be a game breaker on the first line. He can't even be a game breaker in 2022.

Can the morons on the mainboard suggesting Leafs can win without Matthews please realize that this team will only go as far as Matthews takes it. He's the difference maker. Who takes an above average team to a great one.

no if we complain when he doesn't play saturday we'll be told we're being insane and conspiratorial and sporting tinfoil hats.

Word is he doesn't play this weekend. If he plays I was wrong. If he doesn't I'll post from where.
Oh really? 99% of your post history is bashing the Leafs but somehow you know things like this. I'm inclined to believe you don't know dick all.

That other poster in here ORRForever hasn't shown his face here in the longest time (who also has an entire catalogue of embarassing takes about Matthews) but now he's conveniently here to post in the Matthews injury thread.

God this place is amazing.

This sucks. Anybody else sitting in their bath tub drinking beer wearing a tinfoil hat? I may get wrist injury trying to get out.

But I will remain optimistic. Lol.

Me every time I see someone using Steve Simmons or Damien Cox as a source on anything hockey:
Simmons is an idiot but him calling Shanny's BS about losing 5 times in the first round and going on to win a cup is one of the funniest interview clips I've ever heard.

Simmons is the exact guy you want in a situation like this. He broke the COVID story around Matthews. You need a media person who doesn't care about access and being shunned. The rest of these guys are suckling at the teet and aren't going to cross the org. I'll bet anything a few of the guys who ask questions every presser know what's wrong with him, but they'll never tell and play dumb.

I don't believe what Cox said. I simply posted his tweet because someone said it was a wrist injury.

If you want to parse Keefe's words in saying it was something he's never dealt with before...technically, Auston has never dealt with an injury to his surgically repaired wrist.

When I rewatched the Sens game, he tried firing a shot and caught a ton of the defenders stick. Stick of the defender went flying. It was in the first minute of the 3rd period vs. Sens. I could see the plausibility of an injury to his wrist on that play. I talked about that moment earlier in this thread. Don't know what is wrong but that is just one of endless possibilities.

None of our business really. If we don't know in good case our opponents don't know and that's the way it should be. Information flying around about these kind of issues has no benefits for the team. If we like to play here that playoffs are important to us, then we should have the mentality that we don't leak this kind of information. If there is something that can be targeted by grinders and goons of other team.

I think his okay. It's just pulled muscle or something we can let heal, because it's regular season.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all if we don’t see him Saturday either. Doubt they want him to jump back in for a back to back.

People sure love to doom and gloom about the Leafs. If it’s not him leaving in two years it’s manufacturing ridiculous takes and calling people liars.

There are literally 1000 different things he could be dealing with right now. If it’s serious we will cross that bridge when we get to it. There is no point in stressing over something that hasn’t happened nor can we control.

99 ain't 100. These Leafs have beefed it plenty of times before when the odds are in their favour.
Home ice is overblown.

10 of the 15 series last year was won by theteam that fidn't have home ice. The Leafs have lost just as easily with home ice the past two years as they did on the toad the previous three.

If they can't win 1 out the 5 last games then I don't like that mojo going into the playoffs and it probably won't matter.
