Dubois for me. Tkachuk will be a very good complimentary piece of a top line while Dubois has the ability to drive a line by himself.
Tkachuk reminds me of Andrew Brunette below the hash marks at least. He's a better/quicker player overall but very similar in how they score goals and come out of battles with the puck. Brunette was a key part of many successful lines during his prime and consistently racked up 50-60 points. 50-60 points is nothing to scoff at...would be Top 4 on pretty much every canucks team since I've been following.
Dubois definitely flashes glimpses of Jamie Benn which is too hard to ignore. Even if he doesn't hit that ceiling he will still be one hell of a player.
Who eats the most meat and potatoes? That is who we go with.
Can we make this a poll?
Both are great prospects. Inherently Centre is a more valuable position than LW and I think you make the pick based on if you believe you already have a player that can become a true 1C in the future if he is playing with Tkachuk.
Tkachuk - Horvat - Boeser
Baertschi - McCann - Virtanen
or do
Baertschi - Dubois - Boeser
??? - Horvat - Virtanen
I think Tkachuk is the way to go because he fills a need going forward.
Is Dubois good enough to be a top3 pick in the previous drafts?
Really depends on the draft I think. Last year and 2013 I would say definitely not.
How would you rank Tkachuk and Dubois with the two Sam, Draisaitl, Drouin.
Just curious.
